Water harvesting corridor
What is a water harvesting corridor?
The Rain Harvesting Corridor is a 85’ x 12’ roof structure located between a rammed earth tire retaining wall and an adjacent building. Its primary structure is a concrete beam frame with triangular patterns carried on one side by the adjacent building and on the other side by columns leaning against the rammed earth tire retaining wall.
The roof of the adjacent building is also sloped towards the harvesting corridor in order to maximize the amount of rainwater collected.
