North Side Tire Retaining Wall

Our retaining walls are made of packed tires stacked in a running-bond pattern to maximize interlocking between courses. Tires are filled with the earth taken out during the excavation stage, and non-biodegradable waste.

The space between the undisturbed soil and the tires is filled with sand. In order to drain, water goes through the sand before reaching a sloped gravel trench at the bottom of the wall where lays a drainage pipe made of plastic sheeting.
